The process of
university reform set in motion by law 240/2010 involves comprehensive
reorganization for Italian universities. Beginning with the revision of
their statutes, the changes are having a great impact on the overall
structure of the universities.
The greatest change affects the academic
departments, which as of January 2012 have been reorganized and have
become centers for both research and education, as required by the law.
